- Baby Potatoes - 250 grams
- Garlic Cloves - 10 - 15
- Small Onion - 1 (finely chopped)
- Tomato (medium) - 1 (finely chopped)
- Ginger - 1 inch (chopped)
- Coriander Powder - 2 tsp
- Oil - 3 tbsp
- Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
- Red Chilli Powder - 1/8 tsp
- Chaat Masala - 1 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander Leaves - 1 tbsp (chopped)
- Salt - according to taste
Method:
- Boil the baby potatoes in pressure cooker until soft and peel it.
- Make a smooth paste of tomatoes, garlic, ginger, cumin seeds, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt.
- Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan, saute the baby potatoes till turn into light brown color and take it to a another plate.
- Sprinkle chaat masala on it.
- In same pan heat remaining oil and fry onions till light brown.
- Add the paste and fry it for 5-6 min.
- Add a little water and add the fried potatoes.
- Mix well and cook for another 15 min. on slow flame.
- Switch off the flame. Lasaniya Batata is ready.
- Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or paratha.
