Lasaniya Bateta


Ingredients:

  • Baby Potatoes - 250 grams
  • Garlic Cloves - 10 - 15
  • Small Onion - 1 (finely chopped)
  • Tomato (medium) - 1 (finely chopped)
  • Ginger - 1 inch (chopped)
  • Coriander Powder - 2 tsp
  • Oil - 3 tbsp
  • Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1/8 tsp
  • Chaat Masala - 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander Leaves - 1 tbsp (chopped)
  • Salt - according to taste

Method:

  • Boil the baby potatoes in pressure cooker until soft and peel it.
  • Make a smooth paste of tomatoes, garlic, ginger, cumin seeds, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt.
  • Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan, saute the baby potatoes till turn into light brown color and take it to a another plate.
  • Sprinkle chaat masala on it.
  • In same pan heat remaining oil and fry onions till light brown.
  • Add the paste and fry it for 5-6 min.
  • Add a little water and add the fried potatoes.
  • Mix well and cook for another 15 min. on slow flame.
  • Switch off the flame. Lasaniya Batata is ready.
  • Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or paratha.
