Pudina Chutney is one of my favourite side dish for Idly and dosa. It is a very flavorful and delicious chutney. Pudhina Chutney is mostly eaten in North India. It goes well with Samosas, Kachoris, Pakoras and serve with main course dishes like Biryani Pongal, Moong dal rice, moong dal khichdi. It can be used as a spread for sandwich. You can make Pudhina Chutney with sour unripe mangoes or curd.  It can be prepared in different ways. Pudina Chutney is very tasty. So let us learn how to prepare Pudina Chutney by following this easy Pudina Chutney recipe.




                      



      
                                      How to make Pudina/ Mint Chutney


Ingredients needed


  • Pudina / Mint Leaves -  1 cup
  • Green Chillies - 2 to 3 
  • Curd / Unripe mangoes pieces - 1/2 cup
  • Fried cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - add to taste (3/4 tsp)


Preparation


Remove stalks and take the mint/ pudina leaves alone. Wash the mint/ pudina leaves and keep it aside. Drain the water well. Break off the stem of the green chillies, wash and chop into pieces.



Method

Make a fine paste of the mint leaves, green chillies, salt, fried jeera and curd.

If you want to make this chutney with sour unripe mgoes then peel 1 unripe mango and cut into pieces. Make a fine paste of the mango pieces, mint leaves, green chillies, fried jeera and salt. Take out chutney bowl.

Delicious Pudina Chutney is ready. Enjoy with idly, dosa, parathas, bread, roti, upma, samosa, kachori etc.

Keep Pudina/ mint chutney in your fridge and it will stay fresh for a week.
