Bhindi Sabji
Ingredients:
- Bhindi - 250 gms
- Onion (medium) - 1 finely chopped
- Tomato (medium) - 1 finely chopped
- Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
- Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder - 1/4 tsp
- Amchur Powder - 1/4 tsp
- Oil - 2 tbsp
Method:
- Wash bhindi and dry it using cloth.
- Cut the bhindi tops and tails and slice them into 1/4 inch thick round circles.
- Heat the oil in a pan on a medium flame.
- Add the cumin seeds and fry till light brown.
- Add the onion and fry till the onions turn light brown.
- Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and saute for 10 seconds.
- Add tomatoes and cook until tomatoes turn soft.
- Add the coriander and dry mango powders and mix well.
- Now add bhindi and mix well.
- Add the gram masala and salt and mix again.
- Cook until the bhindi is tender. Fry for 8-9 minutes.Keep stirring it occasionally.
- Serve hot with chapatis or parathas.
