Lauki Kofta Curry
Lauki Kofta Curry is very healthy and delicious recipe.It is a rich source of vitamins, minerals, and fiber. It is very tasty. So let's prepare recipe.
Ingredients:
For Kofta -
- Grated gourd- 2 1/2 cups
- Besan- 1 cup
- Green Chilli- 2 finely chopped
- Ginger - Garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Coriander-1 tbsp finely chopped
- Garam masala- 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
- Salt- to taste
- Oil- to fry
To make paste -
- Tomato- 1 cup
- Green Chilly- 2 to 3
- Ginger-1 inch chopped
- Garlic cloves- 5-6 chopped
Rest the ingredients:
- Oil- 2 tbsp
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Hing- 1-2 pinch
- Turmeric Powder- 1/2 tsp
- Coriander Powder- 1 tsp
- Garam masala- 1/2 tsp
- Red Chilli Powder- 1/4 tsp
- Salt- to taste
- coriander-1 tbsp
- Yogurt (curd) - 1/4 cup
Method:
Make Koftas -
- Peel the lauki and grate it.
- Squeeze water out of the lauki.
- Take a bowl and put the squeezed lauki, besan, red chilli powder, salt, green chilies, ginger and garlic paste, Garam masala, coriander leaves and mix well.
- Heat the oil in pan for deep fry.
- Shape into small sized balls and fry it till they are golden brown.Keep aside.
For the curry:
- Take the tomatoes, ginger,garlic,green chillies in grinder and grind them into a smooth paste and keep aside.
- Put the oil in a pan and heat the oil. Add the cumin seeds and fry to a light brown.
- Add the hing turmeric powder, coriander powder and red chilli and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring regularly.
- Now add the paste. Cook it till the masala release the oil.
- Add one glass of water into the masala.
- When it starts boiling, then add whisked yogurt and mix it well.
- And continue stirring until it boil.
- Add the garam masala and salt.
- Now add the koftas and mix into curry.
- Turn off the flame.
- Take out the Lauki Kofta Curry in a bowl and garnish with coriander leaves and serve lauki kofta hot with rotis, naan or rice.
