Poha is a easy to cook, quick nutritious and healthy breakfast.it is very easy to digest.
Ingredients:
- Poha - 1 1/2 cups
- Onion - 1 finely chopped
- Tomato - 1 finely chopped
- Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp finely chopped
- Green chilli - 1 finely chopped
- Turmeric powder - 1tsp
- Sugar - 1 tsp
- Salt - as required
- Roasted peanuts - 2 tbsp (optional)
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Hing - a pinch
- Oil - 2 tbsp
Method:
- Wash the poha in a colander.Poha should be soften but not mashed.
- Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, salt and sugar and mix properly.
- Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds and hing.
- Add onions and continue to saute until onions turns into golden brown colour.
- Then add tomatoes and when tomatoes are soft then add the 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and saute few minute.
- After that add the green chillies and roasted peanuts and stir.
- Now add the poha and mix well with masala.
- Keep it on slow flame for 2 minutes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
