Poha is a easy to cook, quick nutritious and healthy breakfast.it is very easy to digest.

Ingredients:

  • Poha - 1 1/2 cups
  • Onion - 1 finely chopped
  • Tomato - 1 finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves -  1 tbsp finely chopped
  • Green chilli - 1 finely chopped
  • Turmeric powder - 1tsp
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Salt - as required
  • Roasted peanuts - 2 tbsp (optional)
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Hing - a pinch
  • Oil - 2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Wash the poha in a colander.Poha should be soften but not mashed. 
  2. Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, salt and sugar and mix properly.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds and hing.
  4. Add onions and continue to saute until onions turns into golden brown colour.
  5. Then add tomatoes and when tomatoes are soft then add the 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and saute few minute.
  6. After that add the green chillies and roasted peanuts and stir.
  7. Now add the poha and mix well with masala.
  8. Keep it on slow flame for 2 minutes.
  9. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
