Til Gajak
Ingredients:
- Til (sesame) - 1 cup
- Jaggery (gur) - 1 cup
- Ghee - 2 tbsp
Method:
- Dry roast the sesame seeds in a heavy pan om medium flame stirring continuously till they are turn into light golden color.
- Take out the roasted sesame seeds in a plate and keep aside.
- Heat the ghee in a pan and break off jaggery into small pieces.
- Add the jaggery and melt jaggery on a low flame while stirring continuously.
- When jaggery becomes thick then turn off the flame.
- Add the roasted sesame seeds and mix well.
- When mixture done, spread the mixture on the greased thali or rolling board.
- Flatten it thinly into 1 cm. Cut into square pieces with the help of a Sharp knife.
- When the mixture is sufficiently cooled, pick up each piece from the board using a knife or ladle.
- Store in an air-tight container.
